2×2Ah or 2×4Ah: choose capacity around the job
Greenworks also offers a 217 km/h 48V blower kit with two 4Ah batteries. The two products sit close together on headline airflow: the 2×2Ah kit is listed at 16.4 m³/min and the 2×4Ah kit at 16.5 m³/min, while both are rated at up to 217 km/h.
The clearer difference is the supplied battery capacity. The 2Ah kit gives you two smaller-capacity packs; the 4Ah kit gives you two larger ones. Greenworks lists the 4Ah version at 2.95 kg and publishes a maximum runtime of 15 minutes with 4Ah batteries. The 2Ah product page lists 2.3 kg but does not publish an equivalent runtime figure, so it would be misleading to turn the capacity difference into a promised number of minutes.
That leaves a straightforward buying decision. If you usually clear a limited area and prefer a lighter listed setup, the 2×2Ah kit is the more focused choice. If your normal route is longer and you want more battery capacity available before recharging, the 2×4Ah kit is the more natural comparison. For substantially larger areas, a 48V backpack blower without batteries moves into a different format altogether, with a harness designed to distribute the load during extended use.
Save boost for the patches that actually resist normal airflow
A smaller-capacity kit does not mean every difficult patch needs to be avoided. The GD24X2AB has variable speed control, cruise control and a boost function that raises airflow performance to its maximum when extra force is needed.
Use that extra output selectively. Dry leaves and loose grass clippings may move at a lower setting, while damp leaves caught against a kerb, dense corners or debris that has settled into rough ground can justify a short burst of boost. Returning to the lower setting once the patch has moved keeps the controls matched to the job instead of treating maximum output as the default.
This is also where the type of cleanup matters. A handheld blower only moves debris; it does not collect it. If your priority is to blow leaves into a pile and then vacuum them into a bag, the 48V blower/vacuum tool-only model is a different solution and should be judged around that extra collection function rather than battery capacity alone.
Two 24V batteries are required at the same time
The POWERALL label can cause confusion for a first purchase because the batteries themselves are 24V. This blower reaches 48V by using two compatible 24V batteries together, so one 24V pack on its own is not a complete operating setup. The 2×2Ah kit solves that immediately by supplying the required pair and a charger in the box.
That distinction also matters when comparing it with larger ready-to-use kits. The 48V backpack blower with two 8Ah batteries still uses two 24V batteries together, but it is built around a much larger-capacity kit and a backpack format for more demanding clearing.
For a first-time buyer with short, regular cleanup jobs, the 2×2Ah kit keeps the decision simple: two batteries are included, the blower has the full set of airflow controls, and you are not paying for the largest battery capacity simply because it exists. Choose the larger kit when your actual clearing route requires it, not as an automatic upgrade.
