Start With Grass Clippings and Light Debris
After mowing, grass clippings often collect along the edge of a path, around a patio or beside a wall. They usually do not need the same airflow as a deep pile of wet autumn leaves.
This is where 173 km/h and 8.67 m³/min make sense. Instead of using the blower as a heavy seasonal clearing machine, use it for the debris that appears during normal garden maintenance: loose grass, dry leaves and lightweight material on lawns, patios and driveways.
Begin with a moderate trigger position and see whether the debris moves cleanly. On smooth paving, a controlled stream can be enough to push clippings toward the lawn or gather dry leaves into one area. If material is sitting in grass or caught against an edge, increase the airflow for that section.

A short sweep from behind a planter can bring trapped leaves into open space; once they are clear, a longer pass can move them toward the final pile.
The variable-speed trigger helps because you can reduce the airflow before entering a confined area. Full output close to a pot or gravel edge may simply create another cleanup job. Once you return to open paving, increase the airflow again if necessary.

Tool-Only Makes Most Sense When 24V Is Already in the Shed
The Gen. II blower is sold without a battery. That is an advantage only when it matches the way you are buying.
If you already own compatible Greenworks POWERALL 24V batteries, a tool-only blower lets you add another garden job without automatically adding another battery and charger. Fit a battery you already use elsewhere on the platform and the blower becomes another part of the same cordless setup.
If you do not own a Greenworks 24V battery, the calculation changes. The 173 km/h Gen. II kit uses the same 173 km/h and 8.67 m³/min airflow figures and includes one 2Ah battery and one charger. For a first purchase on the platform, that may be the simpler starting point.
This is why tool-only pricing should never be considered in isolation. A lower tool price is useful when compatible power is already available. If you still need to buy a battery and charger separately, compare the complete setup rather than only the blower.
There is no need to estimate a fixed runtime from battery capacity either. Greenworks does not publish a specific runtime for this tool-only blower. The amount of time you get from a battery will depend on the battery used and how heavily the blower is worked.
Where a Compact 24V Blower Fits Best
This blower suits a garden where leaf clearing is made up of several small jobs rather than one large seasonal operation.
A patio can be cleared before furniture goes back into place. Grass clippings can be moved immediately after mowing. Leaves around steps can be pushed into open ground before they become wet and compacted. A narrow side path can be cleaned without bringing out a larger machine.
Storage also matters in this type of garden. A blower that is mainly used for short jobs should be easy to reach, fit with the battery system you already use and not require a large collection setup every time a few leaves appear.
